Ryedale Book Festival
What is the Ryedale Book Festival?
Ryedale Book Festival is a charitable organisation whose objective is to promote a love of reading, storytelling and creative writing in Ryedale, North Yorkshire. We are governed by a Board of Trustees.
We work with schools, libraries and amazing venues to create an annual programme of inspiring literary events for children and book lovers of all ages.
Volunteering for RBF is a great way to meet writers and other artists, make new friends and gain experience of being part of a thriving cultural events provider.
We would like to welcome more volunteers to join our friendly team. There are roles to suit everyone. No specific experience is required – but if you enjoy reading you will have more fun!

A big thank you!
We’d also like to say a big thank you to all of the people who make the festival happen. We are grateful to all the different venues in Rydale who have allowed, and continue to allow us to use their space. Thank you also to the different groups whose invaluable contribution to the programme enables it to be as rich and diverse as it is. And of course, a huge thanks to the sponsors and the volunteers – without you there would be no Ryedale Book Festival.
