We are delighted that Peter Stafford-Bow, author and wine consultant (resting), has agreed to return to Ryedale to acquaint readers and appreciators of the fermented grape with more excerpts from his Felix Hart trilogy; a series of outrageous satires set in the cut-throat world of supermarket wine buying.
The first two novels, Corkscrew and Brut Force, are based on Peter’s twenty-year career purchasing wines for the world’s largest retailers, and have sold well on both sides of the Atlantic. The third book in the trilogy, Firing Blancs, will not be officially released until April 2020, but the author has agreed to share with the Ryedale audience a sneak preview of its amusing content in advance of publication date.
Audiences can expect an entertaining evening listening to the author sharing the antics of Felix Hart whilst enjoying a tutored tasting of carefully selected wines by Paul Tate-Smith of Derventio Wines.
The reading and tasting may be followed by a Q&A, depending on audience sobriety!
