Respected historian and TV presenter Tracy Borman is joint Chief Curator of Historic Royal Palaces, Chief Executive of the Heritage Education Trust and author of a number of acclaimed non-fiction books including The Private Lives of Tudors. But in Ryedale she will be discussing her recently published debut novel The King’s Witch and explaining why she enjoys having licence to embellish a true story with fictitious detail.
‘A compelling tale of corruption, danger and coruscating suspicion, The King’s Witch carries the reader right to the heart of James I’s court – and casts a dazzling new light onto one of the most dramatic moments in British history‘ Sarah Gristwood, author of Blood Sisters.
