Harry Pearson

Harry_Pearson_bookSports journalist and author Harry Pearson (born in Great Ayton) takes a personal look at some local sporting legends including a trio of brilliant football managers – Bill Nicholson, Don Revie and Brian Clough, one of the greatest opening batsmen in the history of cricket – Herbert Sutcliffe, and top class footballers such as Wilf Mannion, George Hardwick and Bobby Smith (born and brought up in Lingdale) who won the League and Cup double with Spurs.
