The Old Town Hall will be the hub of the Book Festival this year and is where you can find a smiling volunteer who will answer your questions about the programme and ticket availability.
It is also where you should head for books as two booksellers; from York (Waterstones) and Scarborough (Wardle & Jones) will have set up a bookshop stocking the titles that are featured in the events and more. As if books alone, were not enough of a temptation to venture inside this historic building our hub offers an exhibition, music, traditional storytelling and children’s craft activities.
And if you visit early on Sunday afternoon you will have the opportunity to meet a number of writers who live in our community. I bet you never knew that Ryedale could boast so much writing talent!
