Rebecca Gibb

Confounded by pompous wine critics’ descriptions of cassis, leather and pencil lead in their claret? Let Master of Wine Rebecca Gibb come to your rescue. Get your nose, palate and pen primed for an introduction to tasting wine that will have you sounding like a pro and Decanter Magazine calling for your prose on a delectable Pinot Noir!  During this informal and informative session, you’ll learn the basics of wine, wine tasting and have the chance to write a description of the wine you are enjoying. The real fun starts when you get to match the wines with the descriptions penned by the rest of the group…

North-east born and bred, Rebecca Gibb has been a wine journalist for the past decade. In that time she has won numerous writing accolades including the Louis Roederer Emerging Wine Writer of the Year. She is currently the wine editor of Le Pan, a luxury lifestyle magazine published in both English and Chinese. In 2015, she became one of only 341 Masters of Wine in the world. Out of a record class of 24 graduates, she was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award, and the Bollinger Medal in recognition of outstanding tasting ability.. She recently moved back to the UK after spending six years in New Zealand. When she’s not writing about wine or drinking it, you’ll find Rebecca running around after an exuberant toddler. She hopes to rekindle her pre-child pastimes in the near future, and is starting work on her first book.

Suitable for over 18 years old only.
